A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT - Ryan Walter

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday and a safe, fun kick-off to the new year. Well, 2009 is officially behind us now, so I hope that you are all optimistic and geared up for a prosperous 2010. The Board of Directors is already hard at work planning events for this year. We are striving to satisfy the appetites of all of our members by offering both educational and social events.

There are some major changes getting ready to hit our industry, and it would be naïve and blind for us, as an organization, to not bring this information to the forefront. Stricter Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) exhaust standards for medium and heavy duty trucks has arrived as well as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) new initiate, Comprehensive Safety Analysis (CSA) 2010. Please be sure to read through this month’s newsletter to get more information regarding the upcoming seminar to discuss CSA 2010. On a much less serious note, but equally as important, the annual ITC spring golf outing. It’s never too early to be thinking about warmer weather, the smell of fresh cut green grass, and meeting up at Pebble Brook Golf Course. The club relies on the success of this event to ensure the financial strength of the club. Again, be sure to read through this month’s newsletter to get the date and time so you can work this outing in to your busy schedules.  I wish success and happiness to you all and I look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming events.
